Pinot Grigio
What Is Pinot Grigio Wine?
Pinot Grigio is also known as 'Pinot Gris.' This white wine is made from a white grape variety from the same family as Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir. The color of this type of wine is often deep golden yellow, because the grape skins are actually rose colored, as opposed to yellow or golden, like other white grapes. Pinot Grigio wine that comes from Italy is often lighter bodied and acidic. Pinot Grigio that hails from France is usually more spicy and full bodied.
