The Manhattan has remained the same since its creation in the 19th century. Italian vermouth, American whiskey, and aromatic bitters come together to create an unmistakably delicious drink. Here's a classic Manhattan recipe that is easy to make and even easier to drink!
Manhattan Cocktail Ingredients:
- 2 ounces bourbon
- 1 ounce sweet vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 dash orange bitters
- Garnish: brandied cherry
How to make a Manhattan
- Add the bourbon, sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters, and orange bitters into a mixing glass filled with ice.
- Stir (don't shake) until well chilled.
- Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a cherry.
