When the Jameson Master Distiller met the Master Brewer from Franciscan Wells for a drink, a plan was hatched to send a few Jameson casks to their brewery down the road for them to age their craft Irish stout. Jameson Stout Edition Caskmate Delivery in Los Angeles
The time came for the casks to return home and our Master Distiller saw an opportunity which piqued his curiosity. He re-filled the stout-seasoned barrels with Jameson Whiskey, and Jameson Caskmates emerged; a whiskey that retains all the triple distilled smoothness of Jameson Original, with a truly unique finish. The subtle suggestion of hops, cocoa and coffee are signposts that it has bumped shoulders with stout; however, Caskmates is undeniably a member of the Jameson family.
Types of Whiskey

Tennessee Whiskey production includes a charcoal filtering process called the Lincoln County Process.

Whiskey or Whisky: What's the Difference?
The main difference between "whiskey" and "whisky" is their regional variations.
"Whiskey" with an "e" is commonly used for American and Irish spirits, while "whisky" without an "e" is typically used for Scotch and Canadian spirits.
But it’s better to remember that there are exceptions, such as some American producers using "whisky" and some Canadian brands using “whiskey."

How to Drink Whiskey
Here’s the catch:
To fully enjoy the flavors and nuances of whiskey, start by selecting a suitable glass, such as a tulip-shaped whiskey glass. This allows the aromas to concentrate.
Then pour a moderate amount of whiskey into the glass, giving it a gentle swirl to release the aromas.
Take small sips, allowing the whiskey to coat your palate and savor the complex flavors. You can also add a few drops of water to explore how it may alter the taste.
Whiskey Calories
In general, whiskey is a relatively low-calorie beverage, containing approximately 64-70 calories per ounce.
However, the calorie count can vary depending on the proof and any mixers or additives.
Moderation is key when enjoying whiskey, and being mindful of portion sizes and accompanying ingredients can help maintain a balanced approach.
How Whiskey Is Made?
Whiskey production comes with several key steps. It begins with the fermentation of a grain mash, typically containing barley, corn, rye, or wheat.
After fermentation, the liquid is distilled to separate alcohol from impurities and then aged in oak barrels to develop its flavors and character.
Bottom line?
The length of aging and specific techniques vary depending on the type, giving a diverse range of tastes.
Why Are Older Whiskeys Better?
Well, the answer is pretty simple.
Due to the long aging process allowing for more significant interaction between the spirit and the oak barrels, leading to high complexity and deep flavors, older ones are often called better.Jameson Stout Edition Caskmate Delivery in Los Angeles
Further, longer aging can help mellow harsh or sharp notes, resulting in a smoother and more refined drinking experience.
Differences Between Bourbon, Scotch, And Whiskey

Moreover, bourbon is aged in new charred oak barrels, while Scotch often utilizes used barrels, contributing to contrasting flavor profiles between the two.
