Coquelicot Benton Blanc (Skin-contact)

Orange is the new pink! when we say when we say orange wine that doesn't mean we added oranges to our wine. The term orange wine refers to a wine style where you ferment white grapes in the same way we ferment red grapes, with skin contact. The grapes spent an average of 14 days on the skins adding a depth of color that makes the wine look orange. Beton Blanc translates to white from concrete. We fermented and aged the sauvignon blanc and Gruner in concrete tanks for 8 months. The result is exciting and funky wine that has an incredible nose. We bottled the wine unfined and unfiltered keeping an attractive texture.
