Maple Old Fashioned

First, we're mixing up a Maple Old Fashioned with Irish whisky, maple syrup, and a surprising ingredient. 

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Irish whiskey
  • ¼ oz maple simple syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Garnish: Orange twist

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and stir with ice for 30 seconds.
  2. Strain into a double old fashioned glass with ice.
  3. Garnish with an orange twist.

Irish Cream Old Fashioned

It really is your lucky day because this Irish Cream Old Fashioned is like unlike anything you've tried before.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz Irish Cream Liqueur
  • ½ oz Irish Whiskey
  • 1 tsp simple syrup
  • 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Garnish: Orange twist
  • Garnish: Cacao powder rim (optional)

Instructions

 

  1. Wet the top edge of a double old fashioned glass and dip that rim to a small pile of cacao powder (optional).
  2. In a separate mixing glass, add all ingredients and stir with ice for 30 seconds.
  3. Strain into the cacao-rimmed double old fashioned glass with ice.
  4. Garnish with an orange twist.

Irish Coffee

It just wouldn't be St. Patrick's Day without an Irish Coffee. We guarantee this will quickly become your new go-to recipe when you need a good, stiff, warm drink.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Irish whiskey
  • ¼ oz brown sugar syrup
  • 3 oz hot coffee
  • Garnish: hand-whipped cream
Instructions

 

  1. Preheat an Irish Coffee glass with hot water, then discard the water. To the hot glass, combine all ingredients except for the cream.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add some heavy whipping cream and shake without ice until an ideal whipped consistency is achieved.
  3. Layer the whipped cream over the cocktail (it should float on top of the drink).
